Für diese Folge hatten wir zum erstem Mal einen Gast in unserer Sendung: Elke. Viele Menschen engagieren sich für Geflüchtete, manche überlegen auch eine Familie oder alleinstehende Geflüchtete zu begleiten. Elke begleitet einen jungen Mann, der als unbegleiteter Minderjähriger nach Deutschland kam. Dann wurde er volljährig und traf Elke und ihre Familie.
Leider ist die Audio-Qualität diesmal – vor allem am Anfang ein wenig schlecht. Bitte verzeiht.
Da es zu diesem Thema so viele potenzielle Links gibt, haben wir sie diesmal weitestgehend weggelassen. Es gibt so viele Möglichkeiten sich zu engagieren und wir möchten hier keine Initiative bevorzugen oder eben weglassen. In dieser Episode beschäftigen wir uns mit Europa – vor allem mit der Europäischen Union. Was ist das überhaupt und worauf gründet sie sich? Wie es weitergehen kann und warum wir die Hoffnung Europa nicht aufgeben wollen.
Nach längerer Pause melden wir uns zurück mit einer neuen Episode! Das Thema diesmal: Empörung. Das wollen wir natürlich so unaufgeregt wie möglich besprechen. Dabei merken wir, dass die Empörung selbst manchmal das Empörendste ist.

In dieser Episode gehen wir heiße Eisen an! Das passt auch gut in die Vorweihnachtszeit –es geht schließlich um Essen und um Liebe. Heiße Eisen werden daraus weil wir diese Themen in Bezug auf Tiere verhandeln: Soll das Schlachtverbot für Hunde und Katzen aufgehoben werden? Soll es erlaubt sein, Liebesbeziehungen zu Tieren zu unterhalten?
Diese Fragen ergeben vielleicht keine ausnehmend beschauliche Podcast-Episode, aber einen guten Anlass unsere Argumentations-Skillz anzuwenden und zu prüfen. Werden wir gute Argumente präsentieren für die Schlachtung von Hunden und Katzen zum Verzehr? Oder dagegen? Schaffen wir es Argumente Pro-Zoophilie zu entwerfen? Hört selbst.

Zoophilie
In diesem Podcast widmen wir uns dem Thema Demokratie. Es gibt keine weitreichenden geschichtlichen Betrachtung und groß-spurigen theoretischen Analysen sondern einen echten Rant und interessante Zahlen.
Einige Fragen versuchen wir dann doch zu beantworten: Warum geht die Wahlbeteiligung zurück? Wer sind die Menschen, die nicht wählen? Welche Rolle spielt Demokratie und welche sollte sie spielen?
Außerdem erwarten Euch einige Innenansichten aus einer Partei.
Das verwendete Material:
Anlässlich Prism & Tempora widmen wir uns des Themas Überwachung. Aber da bleiben wir nicht stehen! Wir wagen Erklärungsversuche. Wir betrachten die Historie. Wir widmen uns den Entwicklungen in der Strafverfolgung. Wir sprechen über Privatsphäre. Außerdem versuchen wir noch ein paar praktische Tipps.
Digitalisierung und mobile Devices verändern die Art, wie wir Räume erfahren. Aber natürlich ist das alles gar nicht neu, sondern unsere Vorstellung und Umgang von und mit Raum (korrekt: Raumzeit) verändern sich seit Menschengedenken. Wir werfen einen kurzen Blick in die Vergangenheit und werden explorieren, was sich aktuell und in Zukunft tut.

Unser Scheitern der Woche: Drosselcom
tl;dh Thema bekannt, aber was tun? Wir suchen die beste Strategie, um Netzneutralität dauerhaft zu erhalten und eine ausgeweitete Vorratsdatenspeicherung zu Abrechnungszwecken durch die Telekom zu verhindern.
Am Samstag fand im Betahaus Hamburg das Barcamp Fortschritt statt. Vanessa hielt die Fahne des Humanist Lab hoch und trug mit einer eigenen Session zur Diskussion bei. Was steckt eigentlich hinter dem Begriff Fortschritt? Was meinen und was wollen wir damit? Ach ja, und wer ist eigentlich wir?
