After not hearing from Lis all weekend, James questions Eira about her whereabouts. She reveals that Lis has seemingly vanished. James is attacked in the school infirmary by a strange woman.

Amy is being harassed by a boy in her school. Luke finds information concerning the strange attack the facility had when James was there. Lis is missing.

After a fight with her parents, Lis rushes to the park only to find that James isn't answering his phone and is nowhere to be found. She and Amy worry about James' absence until he reappears with a new friend.

Monday rolls around and James is forced to go back to school whereupon he begins to hear voices. That night Eiran, Evie, and a new older woman kidnap him and take him to a repurposed airport that they call "The Facility." What could they want from him in such a place?

After a particularly daunting dream, James wakes to the information of a snow day. As is tradition of the Carthyst family, the twins and Lis head to the park. But fun times are quickly interrupted by the arrival of two mysterious women. What do these newcomers want?
