Being Vietnamese has so many meanings based on where you’re from: Vietnam, the US, or elsewhere. Episode 4 Part I highlights similarities and differences in being born in the US versus emigrating from Vietnam to the US.  
Emily and Thuy are co-presidents of the Vietnamese Student Association at LQ.  Each, along with out hosts Roby and Steven, share their experiences being Vietnamese in Vietnam, the US, living in Little Saigon, and at LQHS.

While high school seniors are applying for colleges, senior, Steven Ngo already turned in his preliminary application years ago to enlist in the Marine Corps after high school.  For the majority of students at LQ, joining the military is not on their radar.  Steven shares why he made the Marines his first choice, debunks misconceptions, and explains how this decision affects his relationship with his friends, family, and  planning for a future with a family of his own.  

Cece Le speaks candidly about the pressures from home, peers, and school culture that many students experience in order to meet varying definitions of success and academic achievement.
