Humans Over Numbers

Mental Health is a big issue in the workplace, but it is rarely discussed. So we decided to try having an open and honest discussion about it.

The discussion explains the value of using personality theory at work. We learn what DiSC assessments measure and how to use that information to communicate more effectively and remediate conflict, as well as becoming more fulfilled and productive.

We dive into our quest for meaning at work. We ask the questions, does it have to be fun, are there enough meaningful jobs, and what can you do to make any job better? In our discussion we recall our most bazar jobs which include nuclear power plants and hog farms.

This episode takes a scientific look at the physiology of stress and the effect of chronic stress on the body. How stress affects the body, how to measure that, and what stress is technically doing to your body. We also explore Elizabeth’s story and how she came to discover what stressed her and how that led to her loving to help people with their stress.
