Love others by inviting them to experience a deeper relationship with Jesus.

Jesus invites us to follow Him.  The questions are – do I believe Jesus is worth following, will I choose to follow Him, and what do I need to give up to follow Him?

Invite them to:

               Jesus

            Church

            Small group

            Dgroup 

               Pray

Therefore encourage one another and build each other up as you are already doing.   1 Thessalonians 5:11

Levels of Encouragement

1Facial – smile, wink, raise eye brows

TTouch – handshake, pat on back, squeeze shoulder

3General – you are doing a good job

4Specific – you are doing a good job of working with the Youth, I heard one brag on how you were teaching the Bible

5Spiritual

c.      tell them you are being obedient to what God wants you to do for them

Mentors are people who share their wisdom to provide insight and guidance as a person encounters challenges along their journey.

• ·        mentee drives the relationship
• ·        not always timebound

Coaches often have expertise in the same field as the people they’re helping. They’re usually trained as coaches and have strong management skills.

• ·        provide feedback
• ·        coach drives the relationship
• ·        timebound relationship

So He got up from supper, laid aside His robe, took a towel, and tied it around Himself. Next, He poured water into a basin and began to wash His disciples’ feet and to dry them with the towel tied around Him.       John 13:4-5

Discipleship groups or Dgroups are in my opinion the best way to develop disciples in an organied way.

honor the Messiah as Lord in your hearts. Always be ready to give a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you. However, do this with gentleness and respect,        1 Peter 3:15-16

How do you share Jesus?  Share what you know.

Tell how He has blessed you!

Tell about scripture you just read and understood!

Tell about how He blessed someone else!

Tell how He saved you from sin!

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come on you, and you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem(City), in all Judea(state) and Samaria(N America), and to the ends(earth) of the earth.    Acts 1:8

Hypocrites The word hypocrite came into English from the Greek word hypokrites, which means “an actor” or “a stage player.” It refers to any person who was wearing a figurative mask and pretending to be someone or something they were not.

To me, honoring someone is to put their wants and needs ahead of mine or to show respect toward others with the idea that they are more important than me. It is rooted in being humble, and in our world today, humbleness is not valued or applauded.

Jesus demonstrated the ultimate humility through His example on earth. He said in Matthew 20:28 that He came to this world not to be served but to serve. We should learn to be humble and serve others just like Jesus.

Humble: I want to be obedient to God

Jesus said, “If you love me, you will keep my commandments” (John 14:15).

“This is the love of God, that we keep his commandments” (1 John 5:3).

How do we know what He commanded?  Read His Bible!

Obey God in the small things

            Small things are things that belong to you – gifts, talents, time, heart

                        Ephesians 4:30-32

Obey God in bigger things

            Bigger things are things that belong to others – gifts, heart, DISCIPLESHIP

                        Ephesians 4:25-29      

     Prov 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go, Even when he is old he will not depart from it.

Obey God in the BIGGEST things

            BIGGEST things are things that belong to God – this earth, the heavens, well… everything
