The Humboldt Education Foundation (HEF) helped to start the Orchestra program for Humboldt Unified School District (HUSD) in partnership with Paula Stewart and a small team of volunteers. This program started in 2018 and kept going through COVID continuing with the mission to help connect students with needed instruments. The Orchestra program has now spread to all levels through HUSD including elementary, middle, and high school! In this supportive role, HEF helped to fund instruments and materials for students who participate in the program and in October is gifting over 70 instruments worth over a thousand value!
