If ye continue in My Word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free... IF the Son therefore shall make you free, you shall be free indeed (John 8:31-32, 36).  

Your freedom is not conditional on whether God wants you to be free or not. It's not conditional on whether Jesus makes you free or not. Your freedom is conditional on you - whether you choose to receive His truth or not, and whether or not you choose to continue in His Word.  

Please don't dismiss this, thinking, "I am already free. I'm saved. This scripture isn't for me." If you look at the scripture, you will see in verse 31 that Jesus was speaking to Jews that believed in Him. This Word was for believers - not for sinners (though they can benefit, too!).
