In Episode 8, Frank returns to the interviews with Maria Rodale. Maria is "an explorer in search of the mysteries of the universe". She is the author of Love Nature Magic, Shamanic Journeys into the Heart of My Garden, Organic Manifesto and Scratch and is the children’s book author, Mrs. Peanuckle.
Maria opens the door to directly commune with the plants, bugs, and wildlife in her private garden. These journeys give the reader (and podcast listener) an added potential to explore a deeper purpose with all the life around us. Is there anything more sacred? Love Nature Magic is avaiable today, February 21 for delivery.
An alchemical elixir from an ink drawn Hermit Sage is handed to a wolf of the full moon in cancer. He carries it in his hungry jaw down the the creek where the Mother Goddess is offering her red waters to the creatures so they can propogate life. Take a time out in this first full moon (wolf moon) to allow restoration as the elixir of our experience meets the grace of our greatest sacrifice- the renewel and propogation of our unique imprint. This is a 15 minute stand alone offering that can also be used as a preliminary meditation practice. Painyting by Wang Zhen, "Buddhist Sage", 1928.
A short introduction followed by a 15 minute guided healing transmission. This can be used as preliminary meditation or a sleep track, but ultimately stands as a healing transmission to call in the essential self. All created by Frank Vogt for the 2023 expansion.
Luminosity is cultivated within meditation when we are deduced into our natural body, breath, and mindstate. There are certain conditions that are conducive to this state, especially the act of pure genorosity. Edward Sczudlo joins us from Katmandu to talk about the genorosity of the Maitri Project (www.themaitriproject.com) which funds monasteries, nunneries, and monastics in supporting healcare, education, food, shelter, and meditative retreat supplies. We also deep dive into meditation, Buddhist concepts of emptiness, and Teddy's spiritual roadmap. Teddy is an exquisite photographer (www.esphotonyc.com) meditation and yoga teacher (IG-@clear_light_mind)
Able to trace an ancestral line back 1100 years, Lori Bruno belongs to a linneage of Sicilian wiches, or strega. These are hereditary healers (usually born into the lineage) who use prayers, herbs, incantations, and psychic sight to help the sick and needy- especially for the sacred rite of birthing (not much different from indigenous and/or shamanic practices around the world). Lori also onced worked for NASA at Kennedy space center and has used her psychic gifts to help in tragic missing persons cases.
We connect again to Germany and commune with author and Family Constellation therapist Bertold Ulsamer. Rather than being prescriptive, constellation work is about insight and acceptance. find more about Bert and his teachings at www.Ulsamer.com. Special thanks to Barrett Martin for the soundtrack.
Journalist, producer, podcaster, and alchemist Ekram Ibrahim takes us on a meditative and healing journey to the sacred pyramids of ancient Egypt. It’s only by diving into indigenous and sacred lineages around the world that Ibrahim found her grounding back into her homeland and the wisdom of Egyptian alchemy. Ibrahim founded and manages iDaily Media, a multi-lingual, forward-thinking media production agency. She also has established a bi monthly podcast that tells stories of forbidden love from all over the world. Interfaith, inter-caste and inter-conflict love. Find Ekram on IG at @ekramibrahim. Special thanks for the music to Barrett Martin.
We travel to Germany to talk to author, herbalist, psychotherapist, homeopath, flower essences practitioner, and traditional German medicine practitioner Julia Graves. Julia wrote "The Language of Plants", a wonderful exploration into how plants have distinct signatures that can be read to understand it's healing potential. We can clearly see a plant's shape, color, flower, posture, and nature to understand how it can effectively alter the human experience. This is the opposite of tripping out, it's rather a grounding into a reality that is a testimony into a plant's healing capacity.
To some, Miriam Parker is known for her dance installation pieces that she has cultivated around the globe. For others, she is a prolific NYC yoga teacher and meditation coach. When the moment is right, she might dispense some of her wisdom regarding her deep pursuits into Vajrayana Tibetan Buddhism (Gulugpa lineage). In a time where Tantric teachings are often offered without any association to the roots of authentic lineages, Parker is a solid a source as any. Her blending of art and mysticism makes her one of the best conversations in town for our 21st podcast. @miriamparts (link tree), Miriamparts (IG), still.miriam (IG) are direct ways to find Miriam. Thanks to Barrett Martin for the show theme music.
When most people think of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, they think of one very specific and tragic day. But for FDNY lieutenant Robert Vogt, it was the 6 months of digging at ground zero and the 20 years of living in the shadows of those he was searching for. No shadow looms larger than that of his firefighting uncle Stephen Siller, "It was like Batman and Robin and then there is just Robin". Robert comes to grips with survivor guilt, media attention, and having to balance a personal loss with the loss of so many of his FDNY colleagues. This is a brave, humorous, and honest interview with the brave older brother of podcast host Frank Vogt.
