How do you explain the impact of an individual? Jesus changed the world in ways still felt 20 centuries later! Sometimes the explanation that sounds crazy is the only one that makes sense!

Hosea marries Gomer. Their marriage falls apart as she chases other lovers. God says her unfaithfulness is the same as Israel’s. And the same as ours. But God’s unfailing love never gives up ... even when we deserve it!

The climate of the culture in Hosea very closely resembles our own. We too are guilty of going through the motions with God. We too offer him half-hearted discipleship while chasing the idols in our lives. Praise God for His steadfast love (hesed)...

Many of us have a “song” that plays in our minds. Songs of hurt, failure or inadequacy. Yet God calls us to sing a “new song” of deliverance, redemption and adoption as His children.

When we face real life, when we deal with tragedy, when we realize our own insignificance; we realize that we devote too much of ourselves to things that don’t matter.
