Hup Family Dentistry is located at 1419 Cloquet Avenue and was purchased by Rebecca Hup in April 2021 (from Gunelson Dental). She has six employees and is actively taking new patients from as far away as Ely, McGregor, and Mountain Iron. She lived near Salem, SD, and practiced in Laverne, MN, for ten years before moving north.

When she was growing up, Rebecca had severe allergies; at the time, sugary medications were prescribed as the solution. The result was that at an early age, she had to have all her teeth pulled and found herself under the care of a pediatric dentist. Her experience led her to admire her dentist, and she wanted to be just like him; he was so inspirational that he led over 30 patients to become dentists.

With the provider shortage in the area, her goal is to provide quality basic dental care for her customers, which she is passionate about. Rebecca is a talented businesswoman with goals, “I have a five-year plan and a ten-year plan for Hup Family Dentistry,” she said. Her current focus has been reinvestment into dental equipment and power chairs, which has been significant.
