The marriage relationship is unlike any other relationship on this earth. It's the only one forged in the covenant format to reflect Christ and the Church. Our marriages have the potential to change the world for generations to come. Let us pray that it may be so for His glory!

Friendships can make or break our ability to grow deeper in our relationship with Jesus. They also take time and intentionality that our husbands may or may not have the bandwidth for at this time, despite the desire of their heart. While I believe the Lord created marriage with a friendship between husband and wife in mind, I also believe the Lord creates friendships with other men as a valuable tool for accountability, wisdom, connection and camaraderie. Let's pray for our husbands friendships today.

Peace can feel like an elusive quest to be conquered. Often, it feels the more we try to achieve it, the less peace we actually experience. While your husband may not verbally express it to you, there's a chance that an unrest could be lingering in his heart and mind. What if we could pray to foster that environment in our homes? Come before the Lord today, open your heart to peace and pray for your husband to be able to receive peace as well.

The temptation to blur the line of morality is stronger than ever. Our husbands have the opportunity to stand firm with the boldness of Christ to speak truth and life over the issues of our generation. May we, as wives, be iron that sharpens iron for our husbands. May we challenge them to study God's word and to "in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect" (1 Peter 3:15).

Rest is essential to our lives. It's a rhythm created and modeled by our Creator. Finding rest, whether mentally, physically, emotionally, or spiritually can be difficult for our husbands (and us as wives too!). May our hearts be postured to accept rest ourselves and foster an environment of peace and rest in our homes to the best of our ability, with the grace of God. Praying with you, Ashley
