  • Who Is The Bride of Christ?
The sermon explores the theological concept that the human soul is feminine and destined to be united with Jesus Christ, who is depicted as the bridegroom. Drawing primarily from Genesis 2, the message argues that God created a 'help meet' for man, which typifies the church's relationship with Christ, further illustrated by the piercing of Christ's side on the cross. The preacher uses Romans 7 to explain that the soul is bound to the flesh (the 'husband') until death, but through Christ's resurrection, believers are freed to be married to Him. This spiritual union is reinforced through typological examples such as Hosea and Gomer, David and Abigail, and Isaac and Rebecca, emphasizing that true godliness involves the soul's exclusive devotion to Christ over the desires of the flesh.

  • Blessed, but forgetting the Blesser!
Hosea 1:2-3 (KJV) The beginning of the word of the LORD by Hosea. And the LORD said to Hosea, Go, take unto thee a wife of whoredoms and children of whoredoms: for the land hath committed great whoredom, departing from the LORD. 3 So he went and took Gomer the daughter of Diblaim; which conceived, and bare him a son. Hosea 2:7-10 (KJV) And she shall follow after her lovers, but she shall not overtake them; and she shall seek them, but shall not find them: then shall she say, I will go and return to my first husband; for then was it better with me than now. 8 For she did not know that I gave her corn, and wine, and oil, and multiplied her silver and gold, which they prepared for Baal. 9 Therefore will I return, and take away my corn in the time thereof, and my wine in the season thereof, and will recover my wool and my flax given to cover her nakedness. 10 And now will I discover her lewdness in the sight of her lovers, and none shall deliver her out of mine hand.

  • The Legacy Of A Christian Father
The sermon exhorts Christian fathers to establish a spiritual legacy by leading their families with sacrificial love and active spiritual oversight. Drawing primarily from Ephesians 5 and 6, the message defines the husband's role as a shepherd who loves his wife Christ-like and provides materially and spiritually for his household. It emphasizes the critical importance of daily family worship, including scripture reading, prayer, and singing, to counteract cultural pressures and ensure the next generation knows Christ. The preacher encourages men to break cycles of spiritual neglect by intentionally prioritizing their families' faith formation. Ultimately, the central call is for redeemed men to rely on the gospel to fulfill their God-given responsibilities as heads of their homes.

  • THE COMING SURRENDER OF WOMEN TO PATRIARCHY: GOOD OR BAD?
A Biblical Return? Or Desperate Counterfeits? For generations, modern feminism has taught women that male authority is oppression, motherhood is a limitation, dependence is degrading, and personal autonomy is the highest good. But what happens when rebellion against God's created order finally produces loneliness, fatherlessness, broken homes, confused sexual identities, weakened men - and desperation? Isaiah describes a society in which mature and honorable men disappear, women and children rule, the daughters of Zion become haughty, and sin is displayed without shame. Yet after judgment falls and "thy men shall fall by the sword," the situation is dramatically reversed: Isaiah 4:1 And in that day seven women shall take hold of one man, saying, We will eat our own bread, and wear our own apparel: only let us be called by thy name, to take away our reproach. Is our culture beginning to follow a similar pattern? Many women are rediscovering the value of masculine protection, provision, leadership, marriage, motherhood, and a husband's name. That may appear to be movement in the right direction - but desperation is not necessarily repentance. The collapse of feminism could produce biblical restoration for many. But for others, it could produce dangerous counterfeits: polygamy, male tyranny, sexual exploitation, perverse movements, etc. Women must reject rebellion against God's order. But men must also reject passivity, pornography, fornication, cowardice, bitterness, and cruel domination. The answer is not a war between the sexes. It is the surrender of both sexes to Jesus Christ and the ways of the Bible.

  • The Elder’s Household
The sermon examines the qualifications for church elders in Titus 1:6, arguing that these standards serve as a blueprint for Christian maturity in every believer's household. It emphasizes that God assesses a man's character, marital fidelity, and parenting before considering his public ministry, asserting that the home is the primary arena for demonstrating godliness. The message challenges husbands and wives to pursue healthy, biblically ordered relationships, warning against both passivity and tyranny while encouraging active spiritual leadership. It further addresses the reality of imperfect families, urging believers to repent, pursue reconciliation, and rely on God's grace rather than despairing over past failures. Ultimately, the sermon points to Jesus Christ as the perfect Head of the household, whose flawless love and governance provide the ultimate model for Christian families.
