  • As a Tree Planted (Remastered)
In light of the emptiness of the ungodly life, how can one become godly, blessed, and happy? How can one truly live the "more abundant life" that Christ came to give? In this sermon on Psalm 1:3–4 titled "As a Tree Planted," many think they are Christians, but in this inspiring discourse, Dr. Martyn Lloyd-Jones distinguishes the person who is unquestionably "in Christ" from those who merely deceive themselves. No one is born a Christian or can make themselves a Christian. A Christian is the work of God through the work of the Holy Spirit in conviction, revelation, repentance, and conversion. It's God's doing and one can only experience the new birth into a new life as the result of the operation of the Spirit. Only then will one experience the happiness God intended for people to know in Him. The true Christian has no need to fear whatever comes in life. The true Christian is like a tree. God is the "Planter" of the tree. He selects the location of the tree so that the tree will bear good fruit, in its season, and without withering.

  • Wives Carrying Spiritual Burdens
For Wives Carrying the Spiritual Burden of the Home This sermon addresses Christian wives who feel overwhelmed by the spiritual responsibilities of their homes, particularly when their husbands are distant in faith or unconverted. It emphasizes that while a wife has a serious calling to lead spiritually, she is not the savior of her family and must avoid controlling behaviors or constant verbal persuasion. Instead, the focus should be on faithful living, respectful conduct, and persistent prayer, leaving the results to God who alone gives spiritual increase. The message encourages maintaining humility, protecting the home's atmosphere from contempt, and relying on the church community for support. Ultimately, it calls wives to anchor their identity in Christ rather than family outcomes, trusting in His faithfulness regardless of visible circumstances.

  • The Ungodly Man (Remastered)
What separates Christians from the rest of the world? How can one know for sure someone else is truly saved? Scripture gives many tests of salvation, but few are as vivid as the portrait painted in this passage. In this sermon on Psalm 1:3–4 titled "The Ungodly Man," Dr. Martyn Lloyd-Jones explains the vast difference between those who are rooted by the river of life and those who will blow away like chaff. Dr. Lloyd-Jones presents five differences between the godly and the ungodly person. These differences are profound and have eternal consequences. Due to sin, people are no longer as God originally created them to be, but instead they are empty and in desperate need of salvation. Listen and discover why unhappiness characterizes the ungodly person and understand the only remedy is found in Jesus Christ.

  • My Husband Isn’t a Believer! How a Christian Wife Can Live in Peace
One of the most challenging issues for a Christian wife to face is when her husband either is openly an unbeliever or even more difficult when he claims to be a believer but behaves in a way that is betrays his faith. And while scripture gives very clear directions in 1 Peter 3:1, "Wives, likewise, be submissive to your own husbands, that even if some do not obey the word, they, without a word, may be won by the conduct of their wives", understanding how to apply it to specific situations can be very complex. In this episode we walk through a number of these complexities and look at how God's word says to deal with them. Because marriage is an intimate relationship, it can seem like it makes up the entirety of a wife's life, but in reality, marriage is only one of many authority structures that make up the world. Often because of pride, shame, or uncertainty, a wife may feel unable to appeal to other authorities in her life, but God has created them as a protection for both her and her husband. Please join us as we discuss this complex issue.Thumbnail image by JESUS_is_our_only_HOPE on pixabayProduction of Reformation Baptist Church of Youngsville, NCPermanent Hosts - Dan Horn, Charles Churchill and Joshua HornTechnical Director - Timothy KaiserTheme Music - Gabriel Hudelson

  • A Husband in Christ's Name
A husband living in Christ's name is going to function a certain way with his wife. Paul lays this out for us in Colossians with both a command and a warning. Both of these are critical to understand and wrestle with. In this sermon, we will look at these two things, but also look at some practical ways to better love our wife!

  • Satan, The Deceiver
Satan's deception of mankind started in Genesis 3 when Satan told one lie and one truth. He told the woman God lied to her, then told her she would know good from evil if she ate the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. The woman ate and gave to her husband with her and he also ate. Both disobeyed the clear command God gave. Then they both knew they were naked and hid themselves, from God, among the trees of the garden. Because they both sinned, they faced the penalty of sin, which is death. Satan, and our sinful nature, always paints a pretty picture of sin, but never tells the full impact of sin. Today, rebellion against God's leadership is clearly seen as people use drugs, tobacco, alcohol and many other things., Satan also makes the study of God's word seem like terrible hard work, even listening to a sermon seems difficult. But a lifetime of studying God's word is better than anything the devil presents.

  • Go call thy husband
The sermon emphasizes that genuine salvation requires a profound realization of one's own total depravity and God's holiness. Using the account of the Samaritan woman in John 4, the message argues that Jesus exposes sin to strip away self-righteousness and lead individuals to repentance. The preacher asserts that no one can truly appreciate grace or flee to Christ for refuge without first acknowledging their just condemnation under God's wrath. True conversion involves a humble confession of sin, which opens the door to forgiveness and cleansing through the blood of Jesus. The central call is to abandon false religious comforts and come directly to Christ in humility to receive His righteousness.
