On Saturday, October 5, 2024, Head Coach Greg Schiano led the undefeated Rutgers Scarlet Knights to battle Head Coach Matt Rhule and the Nebraska Cornhuskers in Lincoln. Through the strength of a dominant defense and magnificent special teams play by Senior Punter Brian Buschini, the Huskers prevailed 14 to 7. The Nebraska Blackshirts shut down Rutgers Big Ten leading RB Kyle Monangai throughout the game. The Scarlet Knights had second half opportunities, including beginning a drive from Nebraska's 2 yard line, but were turned away without points by the Husker Blackshirts. For his outstanding performance, Brian Buschini was selected as the Big Ten Special Team Player of the Week.
