HC Matt Rhule and the Nebraska Cornhuskers defeated HC Bill O'Brien and the Boston College Eagles in the Bad Boy Mowers Pinstripe Bowl in New York City at Yankee Stadium on December 28, 2024, finishing with a winning season at 7 and 6.

The Huskers played at the old Yankee Stadium in the 1962 Gotham Bowl defeating Miami 36 to 34. This was the Cornhuskers first bowl game victory and led to years of consecutive bowl game appearances through 2016 and five national titles. Hopefully, a win against Boston College will usher in another era of consecutive bowl appearances and national championships.
