Kitchener, Ontario isn't the first place that comes to mind when you think about the hometown of arguably the best volleyball player in Nebraska History.

But, that city is where the volleyball career began, that took a trip to Lincoln and continues to lead this former Husker around the globe.

Did you know that one of the most decorated players in Nebraska Women's Basketball actually suffered from scoliosis?

Her scoliosis? She shrugs it off. “Everyone has a disability in something,” she said. “Mine just happens to be a crooked spine.”

Her hard work paid off during her basketball career at Nebraska as she went on to record one of the most prolific basketball careers in school history.

This Husker Hero waited three years for his chance to start for the Big Red. When it came, he made the most of his opportunity.

He put together a storybook senior season, breaking or tying 11 school records, winning a host of honors and coming within an eyelash of leading the Huskers to an unbeaten regular-season and a second-straight Big Eight title.
