Xavier Moss, who is Biblelogical illustrator. You’re probably wondering, what is that? As Xavier describes it, a Bibleological illustrator is someone who approaches flora and fauna, animals and plants, from a faith-based perspective. Xavier is an artist on a mission to merge faith and art. Loany Garrido is the co-owner of Hue Vegan Cafe, a food cart near Portland, Oregon. Loany quit her job and moved across the country to start her business. But she didn’t know she'd launched her food business the day before her state governor ordered everyone to quarantine and businesses to shut down in March 2020. Luckily, food carts were able to stay open during the lockdown, but it did come with its challenges. In this episode, Loany chats about being from an immigrant family and having the confidence to make decisions that could potentially change her life, her experience as a business owner during a pandemic and the lessons she’s learned along the way.
