In this episode, Chris Hawkins speaks with a DJ who has a firm grasp of their broadcasting medium; former Radio 1 and current BBC Radio Wales & Radio Cymru presenter Huw Stephens. Huw’s obsession began with magic but as soon as he heard Virgin Radio 1215 AM at an impressionable age, he quickly turned his hand to Hospital Radio before landing a job at Radio 1 at the age of seventeen. Huw’s journey would appear to have started at the top but he’s never stopped wanting to learn and make the most of those opportunities … although there may be a former Children’s TV star he’s still too ashamed to thank (!)
