  • 82 - Strutting your Stuff - Energy Modeling and IBPSA
This week we are talking with Erik Kolderup with Kolderup Consulting about Energy Modeling and what it means to the performance of the building.  Energy Modeling, mind you, is not to be confused with it's more common incarnation the Load Calculation, which has been used as a peak load, design day, sizing tool for HVAC systems for many years.  This is the more encompassing tool that allows you to optimize the size of your equipment and target energy use throughout the year.  If you know someone who might be interested in this topic share this episode or send them to the show notes page at hvac360.com/82. Enjoy.

  • H3-076 AHR Expo 2014 - Comfy
In this episode I speak with Lindsay Baker who is the VP Business Development with Building Robotic about their new product called Comfy.  This is a unique product that is still in the beta testing phase but it essentially looks at putting the power of energy efficiency into the hands of the occupants (my words, not theirs).  They actually tout the fact that by allowing people some control of their surrounds that they can reduce the complaints and save the time of the maintenance staff.  It really is a beautiful piece of software that you should at least take a look at. As always if you like the episode please consider sharing with a friend. Until next time, Enjoy.
