This week on HWY 261 The Rev welcomes musical lifer Jimmy Davis into the KZSM-LP broadcast booth. Jimmy originally hails from Memphis, TN but moved down to Wimberley 15 years ago to play with Walt Wilkins & the Mystiqueros, among others. He told some great stories from his life on the road and in recording studios, and he played a couple of fantastic songs, one of which is a sneak preview of his yet-to-be-released newest record.

Today on HWY 261 Sterling is back in the booth after his tour out west with Dallas Burrow (where they met and hung out with The Doors' guitarist Robbie Krieger!), and Dallas is headlining Gruene Hall's main stage for the first time tonight along with local favorites West Texas Exiles. Dallas made it into KZSM studio for the last 20 minutes, and he and Sterling talked about the new album, the show tonight, and they played a couple of great covers (Rake by Townes Van Zandt and Paradise by John Prine)
