" I focus on helping people with issues around their weight. Oftentimes, I'm dealing with just basic weight loss, or it's emotional weight loss, dealing with the emotions that cause us to overeat, or to struggle with compulsive eating. And I also work with some types of disordered eating, using hypnosis to clear up some of those root issues and actually resolve some of that and get it out of their life."

"when it kind of took that next step and started looking for things that I could do to deal with my anxiety. Because for for most of that mental health journey, it had been something I believed was outside of me, something that someone else had to fix. And so even though I was going through therapy and stuff, and using medication, I was waiting for, like the magic fix. Whereas when I discovered meditation, which was pretty radical for me at that time, I grew up in the rural US. And that was the first time I realized that I could actually impact what I was feeling what I was thinking. And with meditation, I learned about the link with hypnosis, and I got interested in and I started learning it as a passion project, and it kind of took over my life. And that's what I do full time."

"The unconscious mind, there's that part of us that blocks out things that we don't want to believe that part of us. I believe it's called the critical faculty that allows us to separate what we do and don't want to believe. It's that part of us that eventually develops so that we don't believe random things that strangers tell us on the street. It's that part that is always listening to protect us. And in hypnosis, I personally believe that it's still online, it's still functioning to make sure a hypnotist or anyone in the room does not give you a suggestion that you don't actually want. It's simply a little more permissible, a little more open to suggestion, especially suggestions that actually help you. And talking about hypnosis being a state where someone has to be ready to change. I personally believe that hypnosis, it's not about me making them change. And just with therapy, it's not about the therapist making a person change. It's guiding them and helping them to be their own therapist to be their own change maker, and actually make their own change for themselves."
