The evolution of OBGYN to become how we know it today has been a wild ride. The history of this profession is so full of fascinating moments – and like any subject that we study in history, there are some moments that we love to celebrate, and then there are some moments that we wish we can just erase from the books. With this podcast, my goal is to find out more about how we came to know the things we know. Like—how did a particular treatment get discovered, how did a surgical procedure get developed? In each episode, I will do my best to delve into the historical context of some OBGYN milestones that we may have taken for granted.  My goal is to develop a new perspective for looking at the issues surrounding women’s health and medicine today. By looking at the past, I hope that we can gain a new set of tools for understanding the things we do now, maybe even recognize how our current practices will stand the test of time.
