I Am Astrology Readings Podcast with Paul Heath

The Moon is full at 2°45 Taurus, one day after Mercury stationed retrograde in Scorpio, with Venus retrograde standing in the doorway of her own home at 29 Libra. Taurus is the body, the bank account, food on the table and the roof over your head. When the Moon is full here, it lights up what you have, what you’re afraid of losing, and what you’re quietly going without. Two fives face each other across the sky. The Sun stares at the spilled cups of the Five of Cups, and the exalted Moon walks past the lit window of the Five of Pentacles. With Mercury reviewing the story, this full moon asks what help is actually available to you and what keeps you from walking up to it. Venus, Chiron and the house-raising ask the rest: did your action bloom, or was it just motion? Know thyself. Balance your energy.

Takeaways:

1. A full moon isn’t a release. It’s illumination. It shows you what your tending produced, and what your neglect produced too.
2. The Sun is staring at what he lost and the Moon is walking past what could help her. One can’t stop looking back. The other won’t look up.
3. The retrograde isn’t asking you to review the window. It’s asking you to review the story you told yourself about the window.
4. A lit window doesn’t mean the door is open. But has every window since inherited the verdict of that first locked door?
5. Pride says “I got it.” Shame says “They’ll see me.” Who taught you that needing something makes you less?
6. Natural steps lead to clover in bloom, and the community shows up to raise one family’s house. Being helped and being erased are not the same thing.
7. Venus faces Chiron at 28 Aries, where Mars met him in May. Mars asked what you were going to do. Venus asks whether what you did created any value.
8. From Libra, Venus can’t see her own field. Don’t assume your needs are visible just because they’re urgent. Say it out loud.

The Taurus New Moon fires May 16, 2026 at 25° — and the farmer plants the seed the same day the merchant's ships are still out. This is not a wish list lunation. The 7 of Pentacles is the decan card. Saturn holds double authority — decan lord of the card and bound lord of the degree — in fall in Aries, still asking the discipline to come from inside. Simultaneously Mars conjuncts Chiron at 28° Aries and the wound names itself at the moment of planting. The Sabian symbol at 26° Taurus is the Spanish gallant serenading his beloved — desire ritualized, form carrying genuine feeling. 25° reduces to 7 — rest, happiness, equilibrium — the sabbath after sufficient labor. The farmer and the merchant are partners in the same system. Earth and water. Cultivation and commerce. The receipt prints September 26th when the Full Moon at 3° Aries brings both the ships and the harvest home.

Takeaways

• The Taurus New Moon at 25° fires in Saturn's bounds — Saturn holds double authority as decan lord of the 7 of Pentacles and bound lord of the degree. The discipline comes from inside or it doesn't come at all.
• The farmer and the merchant are partners — the farmer grows what the merchant ships, the merchant carries what the farmer cultivates. Two kinds of patience, two elements, one complete system. The 4 of Wands celebration belongs to both of them.
• 25° reduces to 7 — rest, happiness, equilibrium. The sabbath that arrives after sufficient labor. The intelligent pause of the 7 of Pentacles is not passivity. It is strategic stillness. The farmer leans on the hoe and looks honestly at what grew.
• The Sabian at 26° Taurus is the Spanish gallant serenading his beloved — desire ritualized, the individual using collective form to carry genuine personal longing with more grace and more impact than raw impulse alone.
• Desire is not impulse. Desire is conscious — a conscious movement toward something that promises real satisfaction in its attainment. The farmer knows what he is planting and why. The merchant knows what he is shipping and where it is going. Plant from that place.
• Mars conjuncts Chiron at 28° Aries simultaneously — the wound names itself at the moment of planting. The farmer needs to know what was growing from the wound before planting what he actually intends. Lush garden or weeds and poison ivy — look first.
• The Full Moon on September 26th at 3° Aries is the harvest. The ships and the harvest come home together. Mark the date.
