Have you ever being in a crowded room and felt alone or disconnected? I have. Even when I was the guest of honor or the host. Have you been on an airplane, struck up a casual conversation with a stranger, and before you knew it, a couple of hours had gone by with this new person? I’ve experienced that too. For me, the thing that both of these situations have in common is the degree to which I felt present and connected to myself and my environment.
