I am Matthew Podcast: Overcoming Past Mistakes with Spiritual Growth

So, a comment made this last Sunday sparked this podcast. As we enter the holiday season, I want us to be reminded of the greatest gift that was given to us, that we never deserved. I want us to be thinking, if the only thing Jesus did was save me, would He be worthy of my praise? Let us focus on this Holiday season of how we can give God our best towards those that may not deserve it or can never repay it. Love you guys! -Robert

So on Tuesday evening when i should have been prepping the next episode, God laid it on my heart to record something special to go with this week. So, with Thanksgiving as the theme, I talked about the real reason we can have thanksgiving in our hearts. Again, another episode off the cuff, my voice is still raw from the worship Sunday evening, and I stayed up till 11:30 pm to cut this so I hope you enjoy. HAPPY THANKSGIVING! -Robert

Let's dive into a piece of scripture suggested by a listener. I do my best to unpack God's Word and bring us to this understanding; that when we have a hope that is faithful to Jesus, He is always faithful to us.

2 Timothy 2: 1-15

In this episode I really wanted to give some encouragement to you. Sometimes this life throws some curveballs but when we place our trust in Jesus, Hope becomes a wellspring in our souls. I hope you enjoy.

Scriptures Mentioned (CSV)

Numbers 17

So now that the ministry is starting to take shape, I pondered on what maybe God is doing in your life? Sometimes its scary because we don't get the whole picture all at once. For me, I'm glad I didn't get the whole picture, because it would have scared me to see what God had in store for me. But as we learn in Mark, God has planted a seed in us, and we need to let it grow into the plans God has for us.

*Ministry update- So the gofundme and website are still in the works. These things take time but I promise to let you all know when it is up and running. -Robert

Robert here! I was ready to talk about the ministry but i caught a bug and my voice is kind of shot, but God still pressed on me another message that I want to share with you. We should always examine our walk to make sure we are walking with Jesus. Are you walking with Him? Join me as I talk about LifePoint's rock the block weekend and how John was more than just an eyewitness to hope, he shared hope in his letters. Let us find hope together, brother and sister!

Scriptures mentioned (CSV)

1 John 1:1-10

John 1:1

Hey guys! Robert here! This is my first time posting the podcast and I hope that's a bit of a clue concerning my announcement. You know we all go through trials and valleys in our lives, but as long as we focus on the Shepherd, it will always only be but a shadow.

Scriptures Mentioned (CSV)

Psalm 23

With the world growing darker, the works of the flesh are becoming more and more obvious. But believers should be set apart not by works of the flesh but by the fruit of the Spirit. Join us as we study the original Greek of the fruit of the Spirit. If we have these in increasing measure; it will give Hope to a lost and dying world.
