We've arrived. Home. To go home is to go home to yourself. To your own energy. And when you go home for the sake and sheer motivation of being with yourself (and not thirsting after another person), you will have discovered union. The "twin" union only involves yourself. It is an internal journey ONLY, no matter what is presented outside of you. The external is always an illusion that is created within you. So remain focused on the inner workings of yourself and what remains there in the corners needing to be seen by your awareness.
