JJ Walsh is the founder & face behind the thoughtfully curated “High-fashion-Euro-design meets the most beautiful elements of nature” space of Fig Facial in Vancouver, BC.
In my pivot last month to feature some local voices with global hearts on my podcast, I’m honoured to share this beautiful, enlightening conversation I had with the effervescent, creative, successful soul (successful not only in her career accomplishments & business pursuits, but also in her cultivation of compassion, empowerment, love & respect within her personal & professional communities).
She is one of these low-key, high-vibing & high-achieving souls one hears about that, upon meeting, cannot help but immediately admire & respect, but also feel her genuine warmth.
So it may come as a surprise that when asked what her “warning label” (part of her inner character) is, she replied: “Contains jalapeños”! What those that get to know JJ is that even though she communicates and lives her life gracefully, she has a can-do attitude and doesn’t hold back. She has a constant fire inside that helps her get things done. This fire has also ignited her creative passions and her constant journey for expansion & growth in all areas of her life.
We talk about her move from the UK and her transition from journalism & high fashion to parenthood, moving to a different continent, starting over, and founding & launching her wellness company & community, Fig.
We dig deep into the layers of how she has grown as a person, shifted her opinions & perspectives through her vast life experiences, and learned how to “check her ego” and let go of the “stories”, people pleasing tendencies & limiting beliefs that could have held her back...but didn’t.
JJ is incredibly thoughtful, conscientious, caring, intelligent, aware, creative, vision-driven, business-savvy, compassionate, respectful, and constantly envisioning new ways to refine how she works, plays, lives & loves.
She calls her life a series of chapters. And her story, up to this point is inspiring, and truly a life well-lived.
I loved chatting & learning from her life-chapters that have unfolded so far. I hope you enjoy! Click link in bio to listen.
