I Am Not The Same Girl: Renewed is the life story of Stacy Lattisaw. As a young Rhythm and Blues (R&B) singer, she completed a total of 12 albums and toured with Michael Jackson and the Jacksons. She traveled the world as a singer and shared the stage with artists such as Aretha Franklin, Natalie Cole, Teddy Pendergrass, Stephanie Mills, Johnny Gill, and a host of others. As she began to mature in age and mind, her desires began to change, and she cried out to God and asked him to fill the void in her life. Soon after, Stacy walked away from the secular music world and dedicated her life to the Lord. Today she is renewed and walking in the destiny that God has set for her life.

Inspiring!
If you know who Stacy Lattisaw is then it's an interesting book if you don't then it's not for you. It's short, sweet and inspiring. I learned so much about her. I read this book in only a few hours after receiving it and I gained so much knowledge about her. Take some time and take a stroll down memory lane and be inspired.
Five Stars
The book was very good and I will recommend it to everyone that wants to renew their lives.
Where did stacy Lattisaw go? This book will tell you, but...
Let me start by saying that I am a big fan of Ms. Lattisaw. I grew up buying her records and enjoying her music and her superb voice.
I had often wondered why she faded away from the public eye when she had so much talent behind her... I found out by reading this book. And although it was nice to "reconnect" with Stacy and catch up with her, this is a review for her book so here is my take:
Stacy Lattisaw never really was much fascinated by stardom; She was a family-oriented person and she came from a solid family background. She enjoyed singing, but never really dreamed of being a 'star'... And this shows in the writing of this book....
The book reads like an essay written by a middle school student. She repeats her statements over and over again. Her sentence structure is awkward. It literally reads like a middle-school student wrote it...
She quickly glosses over the process of her being discovered, of going into a studio to record an album and many other experiences wher she could have narrated it so that we felt that we had been there and witnessed the process. Meeting and socializing with other celebrities is covered in a paragraph without much detail in it...
I am glad Ms. Lattisaw followed her heart and pursued a life tightly-knit to her religious beliefs. It's just that, as a fan of her music, I was left not knowing much about her musical career, as she only quickly mentions this in passing. And did I mention that it reads like a middle-school student wrote it?
Do yourself a favor, skip the book and buy one of her albums on CD. You will have a much better time.
Great book.
I really enjoyed this book. Stacy has a great story to tell about her life in the business and about what she is doing now.
the item itself more like a **VERY* thin
Fair to so so purchase, the item itself more like a **VERY* thin, small booklet or pamphlet than the/a REAL book I was expecting.
