Healthy is a word that more people casually throw around in conversation, especially when the other person is disciplined enough to exhibit that lifestyle, than actually doing the measures to achieve it. Merriam Webster defines it as the condition of being sound in body, mind, or spirit; especially : freedom from physical disease or pain.
We have been created as a 3 part being; body, soul(mind), and spirit. Healthiness involves a wholistic appearance on who you are as an individual to be achieved. The Creator has a desire for you to prosper and be in good health as your soul prospers. Prosperity by any form does not come by osmosis or just a mere thought. Discipline and labor will be required to accomplish it.
Good health and satisfaction with long life are things that have already been promised, but what are you truly doing for it to manifest in your life? Are you aware that what affects your soul affects your body? Proverbs 17:22 GNB “Being cheerful keeps you healthy. It is slow death to be gloomy all the time.” So healthy living doesn’t just involve what we feed our Spirit, but we must work diligently to preserve the the temples that house it. You can’t possess that cheer to be healthy when you are labeled with various illnesses, ie: high blood pressure and hyperlipidemia, which are modifiable with a disciplined life.
