Strut Footwear has taken a bold step forward with a major expansion, and owner Shandi Schwartz couldn’t be more excited. After temporarily closing in January, the Kelowna-based store has reopened with a bright, spacious layout, allowing for an expanded selection beyond shoes to include handbags, jewelry, and apparel.
Originally a teacher and counselor, Shandi pursued her passion for footwear in 2014, curating a collection of high-quality, unique shoes that stand out from mainstream retailers. Strut has since become known for its commitment to craftsmanship and style.
Beyond fashion, Strut Footwear is deeply rooted in community giving, having raised nearly $40,000 for local students through its round-up initiative for the Central Okanagan Bursary and Scholarship Society (COBSS). Customers have embraced the store’s culture of generosity, further strengthening its impact.
Looking ahead to spring, Strut is bringing in trendy footwear like ballet flats, Mary Janes, loafers, and bold-colored sneakers. With a newly expanded space, a carefully curated collection, and a heart for the community, Strut Footwear continues to step forward in both business and purpose. Now is the perfect time to visit and find your next favorite pair!
