A new study on how happy parents are got me thinking about the idea of being a happy parent. Turns out I'm more scared than anything else.

I came into fatherhood with no idea of what the hell I'm doing.

This week's topic asks parents how comfortable we are going through our children's stuff, specifically texts and emails. I'll probably be going through all of that, once we discuss things with the boy.

Facebook released a new live streaming tool that shows who is going love across the globe. Parents really need to understand how this could be a problem if your kid is on Facebook. Also, big shout out to Alfred over at E-stab records for making that smooth beat you hear in this show.

Being a journalist and a parent can often times be an exercise in compartmentalizing my life. This week's podcast is the parent side and the journalist side talking about how children going viral is both newsy and a concern.

I was asked to do a podcast talking about the three big childhood events that I believe had a real impact on my life. So here it is. I was forced to attend AA meetings in high school. We turned heavily to texting when our son and our dog got sick. The texting made things much easier to stay updated.

My son has always loved technology but we were worried he was doing too much with it. Then we realized that his development was being helped along greatly by the tech around him.

This podcast is entirely about autism acceptance, since April is autism acceptance month. So I chose to let somebody who is autistic take over this week for a quick podcast. Please listen as he talks about what autism means to him.

My 3-year-old son is autistic so this is something I care very much about.

I started to consider how much my son has changed over his first three years of life and got pretty excited about the person he would eventually become. Until then, I'm really enjoying spending time with the current form of my son.
