What I'm seeing in my life as a pastor is people running from tumultuous situation to tumultuous situation, and what I hear often is, "Where's God?"

but they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint. (Isaiah 40:31)

There's many things that He is training us into. There's such a danger when you're like, say, in a "patience" test that you'll break that cycle and revert back to default setting, which is is doomed to fail.

And I would ask that you would read it too. 1st Peter 2, verse 5. You are a living stone that God is building into his spiritual temple, which means that is a process. Building takes time. This is practice.

We bring hope and encouragement, and only because He is real, and He loves you! He died not because we were sinners (although that is true and necessary!), but because we were lost daughters and sons! You have value in His eyes! What He wants from us is that we come alone to Him, for fellowship with Him, in submission, so that He can re-make us into the person He created us to be! He wants us to then go out among people and live a life that attracts others to Jesus (don't worry, you get Help with this!) What a journey! What a life! This isn't a self-help method, it isn't a prosperity gospel, it is Christ in you, the hope of Glory! What a ride! What liberation! Hallelujah!
