Sometimes we take the things we know so much about lightly. They don’t mean as much to us as they used to. That’s why we have this series about familiar scriptures. It can actually be refreshing and bring back the true excitement and experience as we relive those scriptures in our lives. This Sunday we will look at baptism in a message entitled, “I Baptize You”. The sermon will remind us of the public testimony we shared as we were baptized and exactly what that testimony was about. For some it will be like watching an old home movie and smiling at the memories, while for others it will be a time to remember the commitment we made and renew our commitment to Christ.

If you haven’t been baptized since you were saved in a “believer’s baptism” that represents your salvation decision, then this can be your opportunity. Those interested can meet in the Pastor’s office at 10am. Bring your change of clothes and towel. Others may actually determine to be baptized right there in the service. Baptism is one of the first acts of obedience when one is saved. You will find that Jesus did not present this as one possible option, but that Jesus set the example for us to follow in obedience to His command and example.
