The fellas got back together to review the 2021 Albums of the Year. Charlie, Chris, and Jake run through their picks, dive deep into ground-breaking trends of the year, and Chris finally gets critical. Arctic Monkeys were not even mentioned during this It's All Nice on Ice/I Bet You Look Good on the Podcast epic cross-over event. Check it outttttttttttttt
We just wanted to be three of The Strokes... This week on IBYLGOTP - TRANQUILITY BASE HOTEL + CASINO. The most recent record by Arctic Monkeys. Blast off to the moon and listen to this episode, everybody.
Jake's back in New York, but the technology issues don't end, baby. This week on IBYLGOTP - the one and only - VAMPIRE WEEKEND
The boys are back in town, Sheffield, that is. Or New York, actually. Regardless, it is AM week for Chris, Chuckazoid, and Jake. We finally made it here as we've always promised to do. So strap in and hear (some of) us drool over our guys Al Turner and the boys - aka the Kings of Cool.
After last week's historic Tool episode, it's Jake's turn. So welcome everyone and let's take a spin through MEWITHOUTYOU. One of Jake's favorite bands that Charlie has never heard of. Lots of ups and downs on this episode. Tune in for a full anthology of mewithoutYou's records and Jake just fanning out over it. Charlie's in and out whether he likes them or not. AM next week.
It's finally here. The much-anticipated, highly requested, genre-busting, brain-melting episode of IBYLGOTP. The TOOL episode. Chuck finally has the opportunity to listen to his favorite band with Jake (spoiler: Tool is not Jake's favorite band). This episode has been spoken about for weeks and will continue to be spoken about for weeks. Jake was having a bad day; he didn't hate Tool as much as it sounds like he did. But he also hasn't listened to them since this episode came out. Chuck has.
Chuck & Juck chop it UP this week about The White Stripes, or more specifically - ELEPHANT. Front to back, this is an all-hit record. A lotta personal history with this record too, everybody. Check it.
We got there. Arctic Monkeys' fourth studio record - Suck It and See. Some say their worst, some their best. The band will not touch this record live. The guys are finally comfortably settling into their roles on the show - Jake's on Wikipedia.com, Charlie's on Genius.com, Chris is on Setlist.fm. Again, the crew discusses the album title at length. And they finally explore the much-talked-about final three-track run of this record. Oooooooo. baby - tune in and don't tune out!
The boys are back and actually talking about a band not from the early 2000s. Nottingham's own Do Nothing is the topic of conversation today, folks. Charlie and Jake are huge fans of this group, and decided to devote an episode of an Arctic Monkeys podcast to them. Start listening to Do Nothing every day, like we do.
Nick Brennan joins Charlie and Jake to talk one of his favorite records. Charlie and Jake are enormous fans as well. 'Is This It' from The Strokes. They're kinda like Arctic Monkeys, too. Tune in for all of the classic anecdotes that bring you back to IBYLGOTP week after week. The audio quality in this episode is absolute trash. That's Jake's fault. He's sorry. Never record a podcast on a Dell. You can record a podcast about Adele, but don't record a podcast on a Dell. And definitely don't record a podcast about Adele on a Dell.
