In the last episode of ScaleUp Radio, where Kevin Brent spoke to Charlotte Holmes from Citizen Communication, she gave some great advice around pitching or tendering for your business.

Well Alison Evans from Influential Design could have done with some of that when she first approached the high street retailer John Lewis, because she and her business partner in a company called Juice were late to the meeting!

Now, though, Alison is the owner of Influential Design which is a graphic design and brand business that helps other businesses with their brand and design needs.

One of the things that you might notice in this episode is that Alison says the word ‘lucky’ a lot when talking about her own scale up journey - but luck has had nothing to do with it. It was her drive, passion - and willingness to learn from the lessons and challenges that she has experienced along the way.
