Mr Sam McBride grew up in rural Co Armagh hearing the gospel from a young age. He always knew he needed salvation, but let himself drift into adulthood without it. A serious spinal injury in the summer of 1949 left him needing a major operation. Fearing complications, Sam McBride resolved “I cannot go for that operation until I have the matter of my salvation settled.” Listen to hear how he was finally saved on 17th Feb 1952. Mr McBride preached the gospel as a full-time evangelist for many years afterwards. Readings: Job 33:14-22, 27-30, Psa 118:16-18, Rom 5:6, 1 Pet 3:15 (Testimony given in Fintona Gospel Hall, during a series of gospel meetings with Mr John Thompson in 1988).
