I Can't Do It Anymore - LA County Madness - Cops Need an Exit Strategy
In this episode, I share a message received from a police officer in the Midwest, who says after 14 years on the job, threats to both himself and his family have led him to decide to consider leaving law enforcement altogether. We see this happening across the nation as officers struggle to do their jobs despite the interference and lack of support from the governments they work for.
The LA County CEO has put the sheriff on notice. "Defund the Police" is taking a whole new meaning in the country's largest county. But - dismantling the unit responsible for investigating child sexual abuse? I wish I could say that was the only ridiculous proposal by the LA County CEO.
Lastly, I discuss the importance for cops to have an exit strategy. Things are not getting any better, and after the November election, they could possibly get even worse. As a cop, are you ready to move on and pursue another career path if it becomes impossible to "hold the line" any longer? Or if your agency or position is defunded? Business owners - are you prepared to show your support for the blue by actively recruiting these fine officers who will making a mass exodus from law enforcement if things continue to deteriorate the way they are?
