We watched through this melodious adaptation of The Lightning Thief and sought to answer the question: is it better than the movie? Prepare for puppets, goat legs, and leaf-blowers as we dive into The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical by Rob Rokicki and a book by Joe Tracz. Will it be Riordan approved?

Yep we're still on the nostalgia train, and we're making a stop at Camp Half-Blood! This week we're continuing our dive into fantasy books from our younger years (well... Kate's younger years) and looking at Rick Riordan's The Lightning Thief. Tune in to hear us talk about the Greek gods, their half-mortal kids, and how Hell is most definitely located in Los Angeles. Maybe we'll figure out who our godly parents are along the way.... Mom? Dad? Are you out there? 

From Cats to Clover, this week we're talking about one of pre-teen Kenzie's Foo-vorites! This Obert Skye original is a Foo-tastic Foo-n-filled adventure full of un-Foo-gettable characters and creatures! Okay, we're done with the Foo puns...Foo now.

Yeah, you read that right. We're still talking fantasy except for this time it's cats! We're starting a retrospective book club of sorts where we introduce each other to books we grew up with and what's a book like this without a book report! Tune in to hear Kate welcome Kenzie into the world of the Warriors; a fantasy filled with a strange amount of violence, hundreds of cats, and tongue-sharing.

Hm. We talked game Geralt, but what about Cavill's Geralt? pack your steel and silver sword and join us on this media hopping adventure through Lauren Schmidt Hissrich's adaptation of The Witcher as seen on Netflix.
