February is teen dating violence awareness month. Margie is joined by Holly Reese of Warrior Defenders and Linda Kirkpatrick of Family Patterns Matter to share their experiences and educate parents and teens. Physical Violence is the most easily seen type of violence but teens can experience all the types of abuse in an unhealthy relationship which includes physicall, psychological, emotional, sexual and other forms. Abuse is about power and control.  Tips are given for parents to teach their teens what healthy relationships look like.  Advice is also given if teen violence has already been experienced. 

This is an exciting episode that features Casey Adan Phillips, Jenna Stover and Evie  Mock. We discuss what the league is and its local history but our focus is on The Big Event! The League is hosting a Mardis Gras themed Casino fundraiser to benefit their current grant recipient More Music as well as their scholarship funds.
