"So what are you doing after work?" Jasper smiled at me from the video call.

"The same thing I've done every night for the past three months….. come home and chat with you."

Jasper laughed. 

"I'm off to work. I'll see you later."

I blew him a kiss and he caught it playfully before I hung up.

I couldn't believe that I was able to find a decent guy, especially on a dating app. Even though we lived in two different states we found the time to spend with each other through video calls or text messaging to spend time together.

After three months of video chatting we finally decided to meet halfway and go on a real date. Actually we made it a weekend of dates. On the first night I saw a movie, went to dinner and walked around the city enjoying the crisp evening breeze. On Saturday night we went to an art gallery and Sunday he ate a romantic picnic lunch where Jasper asked me to be his girlfriend

After I came home from our amazing weekend, I expected Jasper’s and I relationship to flourish, however, that didn’t happen. For the next two weeks, I called, texted and left voice messages to Jasper but nothing.
