I Doubt It Part 21 – Bigger on the Inside
Hey folks – this week is an on-line only gathering, followed by And Lunch After for those so inclined. Next week will be an in-person gathering at the Plett house, complete with something just for the Littles, livestreamed for those not in attendance. More details about all of that in next week’s blurb.
We’ll fire things up online at our Facebook page here at 10:45 a.m. with music and Community Time, then move on to the Talky Bit, in which I’ll be exploring the possibility that “putting the band back together” (if you know why the quotation marks are there, this Sunday just might in your wheelhouse) could be a useful metaphor for approaching faith via doubt, and taking the interpreters of the King James Bible to task for screwing up untold numbers of people by conflating the words “belief” and “faith”. Am I also on “a mission from God”? Follow the quotes as clues on Youtube, then judge accordingly. And remember; when you explore what you believe you’re not crazy, you’re not alone, and your soul is not in danger. Oh yes…that’s the other thing about this Talky Bit. I’m going to prove that Jesus would have thought the KJV boys got it wrong. Just watch me and see if I don’t…:)
