Tonsil stones are known to impact 10% (probably closer to 20%!) of the US population — this common yet overlooked issue primarily affects women. Sydney Forbes was frustrated with the lack of education and options for people dealing with this issue and is empowering individuals to take control of their well-being by breaking the silence around this taboo subject and creating her own category within oral care.
After earning a degree in Bioengineering from Oregon State University, Sydney is now challenging the outdated, male-dominated oral care industry, with her fresh perspective and specifically designed solutions for removing tonsil stones.
We talk about how Sydney started getting in touch with her intuition in college, how it led her to finding her business partner & the difficulty of being the one to navigate an unknown path.

My guest today is, Delanie Fischer, a professional podcaster, serial entrepreneur, environmentalist, and former stand-up comedian recently known for permanently deleting all of her social media despite her influencer status.
In this episode, D and I share a few experiences where we were not connected to our gut instincts (I could’ve been murdered in a couple of mine!) and a few things we did to get back to ourselves.
To check out more of what Delanie is up to here.
Gabriel Van Guse is a father to two beautiful girls, Ella and Isa. Married to Claire— a beautiful and strong firefighter. UW graduate in philosophy. By label and profession he is a teacher/coach, but he prefers mentor and facilitator, offering positive insight, guidance and opportunity to his students. His goals are simple: to have a positive mindset that INSPIRES and IMPACTS others. #FIP Guse was my high school History teacher and taught me more about how to think for myself and ALWAYS ask questions than he did about the Revolutionary War.
Growing up in a religion where questions were looked down upon, it took me years into my adulthood to learn that questioning everything is me living my best life. In my second episode with Guse we chat about parenting, coaching, pushing limits and ALL the shit in between.
Human Design fascinates me. I love talking to people who integrate it into their businesses & truly help change the way people operate and show up, not only as entrepreneurs, but on a deep personal level. In true 'Kris' fashion, I connected with Katrina in a FB group and as soon as we hopped on a connection call, we clicked! Loved having her on the show! If you feel aligned with what she shares, please reach out to her through her website or IG.
Katrina Widener is a business coach, podcast host, and community leader. Luckily, Kris' best friend Mallorie was willing to shoot the shit with her for 45 minutes while being recorded. To keep things on brand for the show, the ladies talk about when they f*cking knew they'd become great friends!
For Katie McMinn, following her intuition is nothing new. From finding her partner at the age of 18, to writing a book, buying her dream home + quitting her job, Katie knows exactly what it feels like to listen to that inner knowing. She is an incredible human, mother + business woman who continues to educate + empower others to go inward when making decisions.
To learn more about Katie and her 1:1 coaching work, check out her website here. Follow her on IG here + if you are a woman who has left a religion, trying to rediscover spirituality and find support in a community again, check out our Spirituality Series here.

I had a dark memory from my past surface last week completely unannounced. One I’ve fucking avoided for the better part of 20 years.
It came up during a walk around my neighborhood and I thought, “This is wrong. This isn’t what I was trying to think about…”
But this time, instead of backing away and being content with not exploring that pitch black corner…I walked towards it and stood there. Crying. Knowing I wasn’t the only one there. Staring into the space…waiting for my eyes to adjust.
I decided to work through my beliefs around this memory out loud and put it out on the podcast today to hold myself accountable, not just in the light, joyful work, but in the not so pretty side of healing.
