Ash Atalla is an award winning TV producer and writer best known for his work on hits like The Office (with Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant), The IT Crowd, Seth Sells Flats, People Just Do Nothing and many more.
He's won 5 BAFTAs, a Golden Globe and an Emmy and is one of the hottest names in the UK comedy film and TV scene. Ash also founded and is the MD of Roughcut TV, his production company.
What's less well known is his route into the business, taking him from Cairo to Bath University, into Stock Broking, and at a very young age, into his true passion - comedy production.
A great example of an early career pivot and the success that comes from knowing and persevering with your passion.
This is a remarkably refreshing and honest canter through the ups and downs of getting into TV, how the industry has changed, and what creative innovation looks like. A must watch / listen for budding producers or other wanting to get into the creative industry.
Thanks Ash for keeping us entertained and laughing all these years!
