Episode 7 is here, and joy of joys, we have our first true blue University Challenge personality in the form of Seoan Webb of Corpus Christi Oxford! We talk about how much Webb shone in this episode, and Tom tries to convince us that it was not a case of a single contest carrying a team. Episode 6 of this season's University Challenge is once again here, and this time it's a real nail-biter between two of the oldest colleges in the UK. With a combined age of 1451, these institutions are the purest example of Oxbridge Pedigree.

Unlike their respective institutions, the teams are on the younger side, with an average age of 24 and 23 for Balliol and Clare respectively. Who comes out on top in this latest iteration of the Oxbridge competition? Listen with us and find out.

We are on to episode 4, both of this podcast and series 50 of University Challenge. This time we see the returning champions Imperial arrive with one of the youngest and most international teams in the competition thus far, with an average age of just 19! Facing them is the University of Strathclyde, with an average age of 29 and an overwhelmingly Glaswegian makeup. This time, we have a real contrast of a competition between Open University, the largest UK university, and Linacre College, one of the smallest post-grad colleges of Oxford University.
