So it turns out being a mermaid isn’t as glamorous as the fairytales have had us believe all these years: there’s a whole lot more plastic & trash to navigate, species to save, and those tails certainly don’t feel as majestic as they look.

Rosie Panetta talks to one Adelaide student who’s learnt this all first hand, as she dedicates her spare time swapping her legs for a tail in a bid to spread a little magic and a big hit of reality about the health of our oceans.
