This week, Paula speaks with Tahira Nizari, the co-founder of Kazi Yetu. Meaning "our work" in Kiswahili, Kazi Yet is a social enterprise agribusiness that aims to keep all of the value chain processes of locally-grown products in Tanzania.
Kazi Yetu’s first product is the Tanzania Tea Collective, a blend of teas grown, harvested, flavored, packaged and branded in Tanzania. This is not an easy feat when majority of the tea grown in Tanzania leaves the country soon after it has been harvested.

What does it look like when you are just starting your business? It’s rare to hear women still early in the process of entrepreneurship share their wins and challenges. That’s why this week, I’m excited to speak with Susan Njoroge of Sip Trip, a drinks-delivery service here in Nairobi, Kenya.
I talked to Susan just weeks into starting Sip Trip, which she launched right in the middle of the stay-at-home quarantine in Kenya. But as you’ll see in this interview, Sip Trip was also the result of an extremely agile pivot by Susan and her family.
In this episode, we also talk about:
