Nostalgic for people who like reading a country story but haven't been there

If you enjoy slow, clean, predictable and gentle stories like those written a hundred years ago then this one was okay. Otherwise it was a story with zero surprises and too many cliches. I was excited to see the story based in Idaho, but was so disappointed to have so many much of the story revolve around the supposed differences between city and country. The author made the two hours from the big city of Boise (which has a wonderful, outdoorsy and small town attitude) into an insurrmountable distance in miles and culture. I am just tired of story lines that make it seem that someone who lives in a urban area has never been hiking, camping or ridden a horse - get real!

The plot idea was fine and I appreciated the author addressing what drove the heroine, but it was very slow to develop and I was frustrated that I knew where it was going long before it got there. Somehow I just didn't feel that much empathy for the heroine because of the slow development and somehow I didn't always like her. The introduction of an old boyfriend and how she handled him was a little strange to me and made me not really like how she used him or let him renew a dead relationship without any discussion on her part.

Oh well, I am sure someone else will like it - just not my cup of tea.

Skye is a dance teacher who dreams of dancing with a cowboy. Grant is to be a groomsman in a wedding and has to take dancing lessons from Skye. Though he's got two left feet, they soon find themselves in love and wanting the same things. Or do they? It takes a trip home and a stern talking to to figure it out.

I love anything by Robin Hatcher. I love the storyline and how she includes a relationship with Jesus Christ in each book. I also appreciate "clean" romance.
