quick read
Amazon recommended this on a sale so I grabbed it. It was a pleasant and quick read. Cassie and Stephen married secretly, but she left him when she found out he was hiding the fact that he was from a wealthy famous family. Now she needs his help so they make a deal, mostly so he can get his revenge on her.
The storyline is pretty silly and most of it didn't make sense to me. I especially didn't get the blackmail attempt by his ex, Titania, which just seemed like an effort to throw in a reason for some jealousy to go with the equally odd 'stalking' by Giles the flower guy.
Still, I enjoyed them as a couple and the writing was good.
One of the Best
This book had me laughing, crying, and rooting for Stephen and Cassie. He wanted revenge for her leaving him, she wants his help for her family. They make you want for them to get their happy ever after but first they have to get through some rough spots. Find out if they make it in this incredible story by Mary Malcolm
Bitterness, angst, romance,hot sex and love!
Stephen and Cassie eloped in Vegas and were madly in love until Cassie found out that everything Stephen had told her about himself was a lie. Cassie leaves Stephen heartbroken...not realizing that he is crushed as well. A month later Cassie returns to Stephen to ask for help for her family. Angry and looking for revenge Stephen agrees to help on one condition...she must live with him as his wife and put on a public appearance of a loving couple. After a year or two then he will grant her a divorce. Desperate to help her family Cassie agrees no matter how much she hates it. As the charade continues Stephen is still planning on getting revenge for the pain Cassie caused him. The plan...to get Cassie to fall back in love with him and then dump her. Emotions run high, hot and cold. I really enjoyed this book until the end. I won't ruin the ending but I will say that it's not my idea of sexy after reading a hot, sexy, romance book.
