We may be a little “Rusty Nail” (Joy Ride reference that will make more sense once you’ve listened to the whole episode) with the podcasting, but we’re back to discuss what scared you in the 90s (and maybe other decades)! We’re talking about 1991s “The Silence of the Lambs” - with only 50% of us having been fans for multiple years and 0% of us being in the FBI (even though it sounds like many people thought Samantha was this whole time), the conversation certainly has layers. But not like in a creepy, skin-peeling way.
"Drop Dead Gorgeous" applies to so many things in this episode - the name of the 1999 movie we watched, Samantha sniffling and squeaking through illness, and our podcast coming to an end (allegedly). Thank you for supporting us and listening to these episodes even though you never knew when they would be released - we appreciate you all! We don't know when we'll be back, but we WILL be back, so we'll hear ya' later!
This month we're talking about 2001s "Not Another Teen Movie" and how much we HATED it... okay, we kind of liked it, but it's so dumb... but it was also sometimes clever? Now that you definitely know what you're getting into when you press play, we hope you enjoy this PENULTIMATE (we're not excited it's ending, we're just excited about the word) episode!
This episode about 2001s "Ghost World" was filled with confusion about the movie's meaning and adoration for Blockbuster (we miss you!). We had a good time recording, so we hope you have a good time listening! But seriously... where are the freakin' ghosts?!?
In today's episode, we discuss 2001s Sugar & Spice... but everything we say may not be so nice! That's probably not a surprise to our loyal listeners 😉
Spend the day of love listening to us do what we love – talking about a 90s (and early 2000s) teen movie! 2001s “Get Over It” brought us joy, confusion, Sisqó, Martin Short (sometimes known as Steven Martin…) and Fairies, Fairies! Spirits, Spirits!
Happy Halloween! We'll let you decide if 2000s Scary Movie, potentially the least-scary-yet-most-disturbing movie on our list, is a trick or a treat.
Tune in to a history-making episode where Bryant has his positive opinion of 2000s Whatever It Takes flipped and reversed in the span of about 90 minutes (we know, we talk a lot). It'll make you laugh, cry, and also wonder... "Surely I wasn't as bad as any of these characters when I was a teenager??" Audience, we can guarantee that you were definitely better.
