About Wafaa
Wafaa was born in Tripoli, Lebanon and lived there until the age of 35.
Trained as a primary school teacher and achieved a Master degree in Sociology, she worked as a teacher for 14 years until she met her husband Dave on a holiday in South Africa and got married in less then a month after meeting up. They lived there for 4 years then moved to the to UK in 2000.
She then trained as a councillor with Relate. To pay for the course, she started teaching belly dancing then a few years later she added catering and sharing her Lebanese recipes. Her business ‘Dancing Flavours’ was born and it filled her life with connections and joy.
She loves connecting with people, eating, dancing, gardening, walking and sharing her life experiences hence her TEDx talk.
